Temporary Road Closures - 18 to 23 May 2022

Broughton Parish Council has been made aware of amendments to a series of nightly road closures, affecting James Towers Way and Whittingham Lane and previously published here. These will now take place from 18 May 2022 until 23 May 2022. This is to enable Lancashire County Council to carry out asphalt preservation work.

The works will be carried out in 2 phases:

Eastway, Lightfoot Lane, Tom Benson Way, Tag Lane, Tabley Lane, Woodplumpton Road, Whittle Hill, Newsham Hall Lane, Woodplumpton Lane and Whittingham Lane.

 

Durton Lane – James Towers Way to Mericourt Road

Diversion for Durton Lane will take traffic onto the signed route for the substantive James Towers Way diversion, via Mericourt Road - via Eastway, Lightfoot Lane, Tom Benson Way, Tag Lane, Tabley Lane, Woodplumpton Road, Whittle Hill, Newsham Hall Lane, Woodplumpton Lane and Whittingham Lane.

Whittingham Lane - From a point 150m West of James Towers Way roundabout travelling in an easterly direction for approximately 300 metres
