The Commissioner will be welcoming applications from Community Safety Partnerships, local organisations, charities, community groups and Parish and Town Councils for short term intervention projects that have a specific focus on preventing crime and anti-social behaviour (projects must be completed by 31st March 2025).
The Commissioner will be looking for applications that:
- Have a specific focus on preventing crime and anti-social behaviour.
- Deliver short term, time specific intervention projects that provide additional activity above the organisations core functions
- Evidence strong links with the local policing team and / or local Community Safety Partnerships
- Tackle the problems within their neighbourhoods through prevention, diversion, and intervention
- Evidence they have appropriate referral pathways in place to target vulnerable people
- Are innovative and creative – take a new approach to tackle long term problems
- Which are well planned, realistic and have aims which are achievable
- Will make a lasting difference to the people within the local community
Fund criteria
- Applications must demonstrate how their project has a focus on preventing crime and anti-social behaviour.
- The maximum amount that can be applied for is £5,000.
- Applications from local community groups, organisations, charities and Parish and Town councils must demonstrate how they are working with the local policing team and/or the local Community Safety Partnership.
- Local community groups, organisations and charities must supply their Articles of Association and previous two years accounts with their application.
- The Commissioner will require evidence of continued maintenance of any capital assets purchased through the fund.
- All organisations must have appropriate policies and procedures in place including safeguarding where appropriate, health and safety and equality and diversity.
- All projects and schemes must be completed by 31st March 2025 and applicants must complete and return an evaluation form.
