Coffee stop on Guild Wheel

Broughton Parish council ran a coffee stop on Sunday on the Guild Wheel. Parish Councillors were joined by city councillor Neil Cartwright to distribute, tea, coffee water and biscuits. They took the opportunity to discuss the post bypass village improvements with cyclists and parishioners.

The character of the guild wheel is threatened a number of developments along its route; a new application for access off Sandygate Lane is the most recent threat to the guild wheel and the safe cycle to school route.

The councillors are in the process with a steering group of local businesses, organisations and residents in producing a Neighbourhood plan.

The next consultation event is a coffee morning next Wednesday 31st August from 9-11am at the Broughton Inn and all residents and local businesses are invited.
