The majority of planning applications are available on the planning portal and are accessible online at https://selfservice.preston.gov.uk/service/planning/ . But you need the application number which can be found either from the lists of new applications issued each Friday or by searching the interactive map https://preston.gov.uk/planningpublicmaps and selecting planning applications 2011- from the dropdown menu.
Application for mineral extraction, utility works, highways/roads and larger infrastructure plans are the responsibility of Lancashire County Council and are published on their website. Some applications are subject to both authorities.
The Parish Council is a statutory consultee for all applications in our parish. All applications are considered and responded to as appropriate. Applications are decided either by the city council officers through delegated powers or at planning committee meetings.
