Broughton Parish Council would like to express its gratitude to everyone involved in the process of it's preparation. These include Tim Brown (Planning Consultant), members of our local community, Steering Group members and our advisers at Preston city Council and Community Futures. The Neighbourhood Development Plan is the result of over a year’s hard work with residents, commuters and business in Broughton. Pupils from Broughton High School worked on the Environment and Access sections of the plan, ensuring that the perpectives of local young people were considered. The Broughton Inn and the Marriott’s Hotel, both local businesses, kindly allowed us to use their premises and facilitites to meet with parishioners. Community organisations such as the Broughton Pre-school, St John Baptist Church and Broughton & District Club were all involved with the Steering Group.

The next stage in the process is for Preston City Council to conduct their formal consultation and appoint an 'Examiner'.
